My name is Michelle Archer. I fostered children for many years. I have been a Quality Assured Ofsted Registered childminder for over 17 years, and have now opened a nursery in 2023 providing excellent quality care for children in a friendly, stimulating and safe environment.

My ethos is to encourage and enable children to develop in their early years and do all that I can to ensure that they have the best possible start in life, while having fun learning.

I live with my partner Paul, I am a proud mum of four children and five grandchildren. My three older children have great jobs and their own homes, my youngest is 17 and in collage, with a part time job. I am still in touch with my lovely foster children that have grown up and have good lives. We have two small dogs that sometimes come to the nursery and enjoy watching the children and getting patted.

I love helping children and watching them grow into confident little people. I will always go that extra mile to make a difference to all the children and help their parents/careers if needed. My ethos is to make every child happy,  love learning and enjoy coming to nursery, then I have done my job. I do have lots of experience with young children. I always keep up to date with my practice, attending various training, reading up on the latest ideas and changes that might affect my setting, such as safeguarding children and looking for new and exciting resources. Myself and my assistant’s love our jobs and the children we look after.

Ofsted – When I started out In 2005, I was awarded satisfactory in my first inspection. Six years and a lot of hard work later I got graded outstanding on all 17 aspects this was in 2011. I then had my third Ofsted inspection December 2015. I have been rated ‘outstanding’ again in all the new 4 aspects. Then the new Ofsted inspection framework changed it was released in September 2019, My Ofsted visit was due and I was rated Good in Quality of education, Good in Personal development, Good in Leadership and management, Outstanding in Behaviour & attitudes.
